What is Promensil Advance and why should I take it?

Promensil Advance protects your body from the serious long-term effects of menopause, after the visible symptoms of menopause have disappeared. Lower estrogen levels contribute to bone density loss at a much faster rate, which can lead to fractures and osteoporosis. Cardiovascular health also begins to change, such as rising cholesterol levels and increased blood pressure. The isoflavones in Promensil Advance help maintain cardiovascular and bone health as well as providing Calcium and Vitamin D3. The combination of isoflavones, minerals and vitamins are designed to help women stay vital after menopause.

Promensil Advance’s recommended use:

  • Helps to reduce Bone Mineral Density losses in post menopausal women
  • Helps support cardiovascular health by improving arterial compliance
  • Vitamin D3 helps the body to better absorb calcium
  • Adequate Calcium as part of a health diet helps prevent bone loss and osteoporosis

What is in Promensil Advance?

Each tablet contains 40mg of isoflavones extracted from red clover for maintenance of bone and arterial health after menopause, in combination with 500mg of Calcium (from 1,278 mg of Calcium Carbonate) and 140 IU of Vitamin D3 for maintenance of bone health.

Promensil is free from sugar, yeast, milk derivatives, wheat, gluten, preservatives and artificial flavors.

Red Clover Isoflavones
The only legume that contains all four isoflavones that are proven to be beneficial to menopausal and post menopausal women. Red clover also contains ten to twenty times the quantity compared to soy – the next richest source of isoflavones.

Calcium
Helps to prevent and treat osteoporosis.

Vitamin D3
Facilitates the absorption of calcium for strong, healthy bones.

Where is Promensil Advance made and where do the ingredients come from?

Promensil products are made to pharmaceutical standards by Novogen in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified facility in Australia. All ingredients are sourced from Australia except for the red clover isoflavones extract. This is produced in Switzerland in a Swiss Medic® approved manufacturing, using red clover hay that has been harvested from Switzerland and Austria.

How do I take Promensil Advance?

Promensil Advance is designed to be taken as a daily tablet. Take with a meal to help with absorption of the calcium. Do not take with other medications as the calcium in Promensil Advance may impede absorption of other medications. For women who want extra supplementation, take 1 tablet of Promensil Advance with the morning and evening meal. Remember that the body can only absorb 500 mg of calcium at one time.

When should I change from Promensil to Promensil Advance?

It is time to change from using Promensil to Promensil Advance when the obvious symptoms of menopause, like hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings have subsided or stopped. Changing to Promensil Advance earlier does benefit the body with the extra supplementation of calcium and vitamin D3.

Do I need to take a calcium supplement as well as Promensil Advance?

Each tablet of Promensil Advance contains 500mg of Calcium. The Health Canada recommended daily intake of Calcium for post-menopausal women is 1,200 mg per day. Taking Promensil Advance in conjunction with a calcium rich diet should enable you to obtain your daily calcium needs. For example, each dairy serving contains approximately 200-250mg of calcium, so eating 2 servings of dairy, a healthy diet of fruit and vegetables, and some fish, you should be receiving your 1,200 mg of daily calcium allowance. If you do not obtain sufficient calcium from your diet, you can take additional calcium with Promensil Advance.

Do I need to take a vitamin D3 supplement as well as Promensil Advance?

Promensil Advance contains 140 IU of vitamin D3. Canadian women should supplement their diets with 800 IU of vitamin D3. It is suggested that additional vitamin D3 supplementation to what is contained in Promensil Advance is necessary. If in doubt, please consult your health care practitioner.

Is Promensil Advance Safe?
